Taiwanese company develops new kind of zip

Taiwanese company Aicare Worldwide has unveiled what it describes as “the first support with no hook and loop fastener in the world”, a fabric with a self-stick function.

It says the product, called Jason Try, is soft, breathable, adjustable, comfortable and firm, and will be on display at the Titas textile show in Taiwan in October.

The company’s O’Reach zip was chosen for the cover of the 2014 ISPO Textrends invitation letter, which it says is a “high commendation from the ISPO Textrends team and juries”.
