Denim by Premiere Vision announces new venue

Exhibition organiser Premiere Vision has announced that its dedicated denim show will move from Paris to Barcelona.
On November 27 and 28, Denim by Premiere Vision took place in Paris, where it has always been held since its inception in 2007. The organisers announced on the first day that the next edition of the event will take place on May 21 and 22, but with the Montjuic exhibition centre in Barcelona as the venue.
It will be held in a 19,000-square-metre space with exhibitors from all areas of the upstream denim supply chain (fabrics, trimming, finishing and manufacturing). Current figures show 95% of exhibitors and 72% of visitors come from outside France, which has led the organisers to suggest that people will find it just as easy to travel to Barcelona. They said it was natural for the show to move, “affirming its role as an engine for change” in the global denim industry.
Some commentators have told sportstextiles that this may indeed prove to be a way to infuse the event with new energy after a few flat seasons.
