Adidas is suing Under Armour in a US court over alleged infringement of patents governing fitness training and tracker devices, according to a court filing.

The German company says technology company MapMyFitness, which Under Armour bought for $150 million in November, "willfully infringed" 10 patents for its miCoach fitness training devices.

miCoach offers real-time coaching and a web application to help people optimise their workout sessions. Adidas has sought damages as well as jury trial, according to the filing.
