For the year ended December 31, 2013, the group expects to report sales of $203 million, up 15%, and forecast double-digit sales growth across all brands during 2014.
Black Diamond CEO Peter Metcalf said: "2013 was a year of significant strategic accomplishments, including the launch of Black Diamond apparel, the establishment of our own distribution business in Japan, as well as the integration of POC and PIEPS.
"Our 24% sales growth in the fourth quarter was broad-based, as we experienced healthy double-digit growth across all of our brands, categories and major geographies. We attribute this growth to our ability to introduce innovative new products, with these efforts resulting in market share gains in the highly competitive active outdoor industry."
The Salt Lake City-based group described its new product line for 2014 as “robust”. Launches will include POC's road bike collection plus continued expansion of apparel. Its new Jetforce avalanche technology will be available this autumn.
At the recent ISPO Munich trade show, Black Diamond, PIEPS, POC and Fritschi Diamir collected six ISPO awards in the ski, outdoor and accessories categories.
