Carvico launches fabric based on recycled nylon

Italian fabric manufacturer Carvico has launched a fabric for the sportswear market made of 78% Econyl, a recycled nylon 6.6.

Vita was developed over several months and is 20% thinner than standard charmeuse, according to the company. It offers a soft hand thanks to the use of the multifilament polyamide.

It has been tested by the Lycra Sport platform and offers comfort, moisture wicking properties, resistance to pilling and UV 50+ protection.
