Dyadic launches cellulase enzyme for textiles

Fibrezyme G4 can be used to soften denim and create a stonewashed look for blue jeans. It operates under wide pH and temperature ranges allowing for integration into a variety of textile manufacturing processes.
Dyadic's chief operating officer, Danai Brooks, said: "We expect two key markets to be China and South Asia, which are growing and open to new entrants like Dyadic. South Asia is also one of the world's largest textile enzyme markets.”
He added that government policy in China is increasingly focused on the environmental impact of mills, which he says will boost demand for enzymes like Fibrezyme G4.
