Apparel manufacturing firm L&T International, part of Hong Kong-based Luen Thai Holdings, has invested $6.5 million in a new development in the Philippines, which should create an additional 5,000 jobs when in operation.

The group, which supplies to outdoor brand Nautica as well as Ralph Lauren and Victoria’s Secret, aims to take advantage of favourable trade deals in the area.

“Under the agreement, LTIGPI shall construct six 70,000-square meter buildings in its expansion area,” said Arthur Tugade, the head of with Clark Development Corporation, which is overseeing the build.
