Europe a ‘huge market’ for Filipino apparel

According to the group, apparel exporters in the country should take advantage of the “niche areas with fewer competitors” in Europe, which have excellent growth potential despite weakening demand in the Eurozone.
The recommendation was based on a market report released by the Center for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI). The report suggested that exporters from developing countries who can deliver high-quality and unique materials should target independent and luxury buyers as they often offer attractive prices for high-quality garments.
