Media in Cambodia reported that eight workers were injured when the floor of a garment factory in Takeo province collapsed. The incident happened on October 21.

Local reports said the factory was one owned and operated by Nishiku Enterprise, a Chinese outsource manufacturing partner of big-name western brands.

The Cambodia Daily quoted government sources as saying the foundations of the building were not strong enough to stand up to recent heavy rains.
