Puma Q3 results “better than expected”

In the three-month period to September 2014, sports group Puma recorded its first increase in footwear sales in seven quarters.

Puma chief executive, Bjørn Gulden, said the quarter provided results that were better than expected. “We feel that things are moving in the right direction,” he said, “but we know that the repositioning of Puma and the turnaround of the business will take time as we need to continue to build confidence in the marketplace. I am convinced that our efforts have already translated into better products, better marketing and more efficient operations.”
