Golf launches were a mistake, says adidas boss

In an interview with German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung, the head of adidas has admitted launching golf products as the market was receding was a mistake.

Herbert Hainer also said that despite profit warnings, he has no intention of leaving the group.
"If I no longer had the ambition and the energy, and the firm belief that I can bring the company further forward, then I would stop immediately," he said.

He added that the US market would be a focus for 2015.
