Outdoor and sports lead VF Corporation to record revenues in 2014

VF Corporation has reported its financial results for 2014. Its revenues increased by 8% to a record $12.3 billion, compared to $11.4 billion in 2013. It said specifically that this growth was “driven by continued strength in our outdoor and action sports coalition”, as well as by its international and direct-to-consumer businesses.

Revenues from outdoor and sports, which includes The North Face, Timberland, Vans, Jansport and Smartwool, grew by 13% in 2014 to reach $7.2 billion.

Chief executive, Eric Wiseman, said on announcing the results that 2015 would be “another great year” for VF.
