Record results for Rieter

23/03/2015
Textile machinery manufacturer Rieter has reported full-year sales for 2014 of more than 1.1 billion Swiss francs, an increase of 11% year on year. The Winterthur-based company also achieved substantial growth in profits, increasing by 32% compared to 2013 to reach 125.4 million Swiss francs.

Rieter said it had benefited from steps it has taken in recent years to reduce its exposure to changes in the value of the Swiss franc.

It also said a trend in the market for short-staple fibre machinery and components continued in 2014. It delivered a record volume of more than 2.3 million spindle equivalents in the course of last year compared to 1.8 million in 2013. Deliveries of extensive full compact, ring and rotor spinning system installations made a decisive contribution to this success. Market launches of components such as EliTeAdvanced for compact spinning were also successful.
