The Swiss group says it is expecting sales of about 1 billion CHF ($1 billion) this year, as it presents its latest developments at the ITMA machinery fair.
The Machines & Systems division will be displaying the new E 36/E 86 combing set, which offers a significant increase in productivity, according to the company. The enlarged R 66 rotor spinning machine with improved S 66 spin box and the optimized air-jet spinning machine with a polyester option P 26 will also be presented.
The extended SPIDERweb Mill Control System will all be highlighted; the first step towards using the “Internet of Things” for optimizing the spinning mill. (The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.)
ITMA is under way in Milan, Italy (November 12 to 19).
