Top speakers line up for bioplastics conference

Speakers from BASF and advisors to the European Commission are among keynotes at the International Conference on Bio-based Materials, which will be held in Cologne, Germany, between April 13 and 15.

Representatives of political bodies and associations will join leading companies, with a third day dedicated to start-ups with ‘groundbreaking innovations’.

BASF’s Christine Stiehl will discuss use of renewable feedstock in chemical production; EC advisor Dr Barend Verachtert will outline the Commission’s strategy; and Kristy-Barbara Lange from European Bioplastics will look at lobbying on behalf of the sector in Brussels.
