Bergans launches search for 30 testers for Ecodear garments
Outdoor brand Bergans of Norway is launching a new project to find 30 testers for an apparel collection it is putting together in partnership with Japanese textile group Toray.

Garments in the collection will use a new range of fabrics called Ecodear, which Bergans describes being “like conventional polyester fabric, fully recyclable and functional”. But instead of being made from hydrocarbons, Ecodear fabrics use material made from renewable resources, “so saving the limited resources of our planet”, the outdoor brand adds.

Its aim is to use a platform for innovation, set up by the organisers of the ISPO exhibitions, ISPO Open Innovation, to find 30 testers to help it put apparel made from Ecodear fabrics through “an exhaustive testing regime”.

Outdoor enthusiasts interested in taking part in the programme can apply using this Ecodear testers link.
