Bluesign and Oeko-Tex success for PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active

The company describes Silver Insulation Active as a high-performance insulation solution offering breathability and high-levels of warmth, designed specifically for “high-output adventures”. Its construction enables excess heat and moisture to escape, keeping the user comfortable and dry, while also allowing product designers to use a wide variety of breathable outer and liner fabrics, resulting in what PrimaLoft has called “more year-round choices for manufacturers and consumers”.
A proprietary finish and manufacturing process locks PrimaLoft fibres in place, preventing them from migrating through fabrics.
Outdoor brands already committed to using PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active in their collections for spring-summer 2016 include adidas, Norrona, Vaude, Montane, Eider and Klattermusen.
Montane, for example, will use the technology in its lightweight, reversible, insulated pull-on garment, the Fireball Verso.
