Klättermusen line uses organic cotton with synthetic characteristics

With the launch of its FW20 collection, mountaineering brand Klättermusen has introduced new cotton technology as well as indexes for assessing thermal performance and breathability.

The range, which includes anoraks, pants, accessories and more, features a windproof, water-resistant jacket made with Katla Cotton. Katla, according to the company, is 100% organic cotton with “synthetic-like characteristics, which means this collection continues to raise the bar on performance, whilst simultaneously expanding usage of recycled and bio-based materials”.

Klättermusen has also introduced two new indexes across its products: the HCR (Heat Conductivity Resistance) identifies thermal performance and MFR (Mass Flow Resistance) provides a measurement of breathability.
