PrimaLoft introduces Silver Insulation Active

At the time of the announcement, the company described the technology as an insulation solution offering breathability and “unmatched warmth, designed specifically for high-output adventures”. Its construction allows excess heat and moisture to escape, the company said, keeping the user comfortable and dry. PrimaLoft said the development will also allow product designers to use a wider variety of breathable outer and liner fabrics in their garments, resulting in more “year-round choices” for manufacturers and consumers.
A proprietary finish and manufacturing process locks PrimaLoft fibres in place, preventing them from migrating through fabrics and allowing usage with more breathable, open-weave materials.
Launch partners for PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active include Atomic, Audimas, Brax, Direct Alpine, Dunderdon, Elkline, Head, Helly Hansen, Houdini, Klattermusen, L.L.Bean, Lands’ End, Mammut, Marmot, Montane, Musto, Norrona, Odlo, Puma, Red Fox, Roots, Under Armour, and Vaude.
Fall 2015 samples will be on display during the 2015 ISPO exhibition in Munich (February 5-8) and at ISPO Bejing (January 28-31).
