Growth for Egyptian cotton

Egypt’s cotton exports almost doubled in the second quarter of the 2014-2015 season, reaching  witnessed increase during the second quarter of the 2014-15 agricultural season, to reach 24.6 million kilos, which represents year-on-year growth of more than 90%. The figures come from the  African country’s Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS).

Domestically, spinning companies also increased their consumption of locally produced cotton by more than 100% to reach 17.6 million kilos.
