Icebreaker adds women’s products to hunting and fishing collection

New Zealand-based outdoor brand Icebreaker, which specialises in apparel made from merino wool, has expanded its hunting and fishing collection for autumn-winter 2015, the current season in the southern hemisphere.

Its new styles and camouflage patterns “elevate merino innovation”, the company has said, offering “the most extensive, high-quality and durable merino layering collection available”.

One aspect of the extended collection is that it includes a full range of products to meet what Icebreaker says is growing demand from women; it claims women’s clothing represents the fastest growing category in hunting and fishing.

There is a complete merino layering system to control body temperature and cope with all weather conditions and exertion levels, based on merino’s capacity to be highly insulating and warm when wet and still breathe to prevent overheating and clamminess, allowing moisture vapour to evaporate before it becomes sweat.

In addition, Icebreaker merino has no added chemicals and is naturally odour-resistant, which means it doesn’t retain odour after multiple days in the field, allowing the wearer to go longer with less clothing.
