German firm first to adopt Oeko-Tex Made in Green

A German firm have become the first textile company to adopt Oeko-Tex’s Made in Green label, which was developed to “recognise supply chain services which demonstrate socially responsible working conditions and environmentally friendly production processes”.

Bangladeshi suppliers of Bremen-based C. Melchers were certified in accordance with STeP by OEKO-TEX in December 2014.

Mondol Knit-Tex and Danys Knitwear make polo shirts for the German company to distribute in Europe.
