New Pertex technology promises double the abrasion resistance
Performance fabric developer Pertex has introduced a new range of fabrics called CS10, which will feature in the autumn 2016 collections of several big-name outdoor industry brands, including Berghaus, Montane, Mammut, Peak Performance and Salewa.

Pertex fabrics with CS10 technology use yarns with special diamond-shaped filaments that lock together to provide a very stable construction. Tightly interlocking filaments give the fabrics high levels of abrasion resistance, more than twice the abrasion resistance of fabrics made with traditional circular filament yarns, and improved water-beading properties.

“While highly durable, these fabrics are exceptionally soft to the touch, extremely downproof, and lend a beautiful sheen,” the company said at the time of the launch.

Visitors to Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City from January 7-10, and to Ispo in Munich from January 24-27 will be able to see Pertex fabrics with CS10 technology.
