Footwear group Wolverine World Wide has appointed the president of its Saucony athletic shoe brand, Richie Woodworth, as the new president of its lifestyle group, which includes the Sperry, Stride Rite, Keds, and Hush Puppies brands. Mr Woodworth will take up the position at the start of the new year. He will replace Andy Simister, who is to return to the UK for personal reasons, the group said.

Richie Woodworth has been president of the Saucony brand since 2006. Previously, he worked in various executive roles at Tommy Hilfiger Footwear and as president of the Greg Norman Collection at Reebok.

On announcing his promotion to the role of president of the lifestyle group, Wolverine chief executive, Blake Krueger, paid tribute to the success he has achieved at Saucony, growing the brand internationally and adding lifestyle shoes, apparel and accessories to the brand’s core running shoe collections.
