US Customs expands apparel, footwear and textiles division

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is opening an apparel, footwear and textiles (AFT) Centre of Excellence and Expertise which will become the hub for 67,000 importers of clothing, shoes and raw materials. 

Based in San Francisco, the centre’s responsibilities will include import and revenue-related activities, improving consistency across 300 ports and resolving trade compliance issues.
