To help it achieve this aim, the plan says Ternua will seek to increase the share of sales revenue that customers outside Spain contribute from 33% at the moment to almost 50% by 2018.
Ternua is already present in the US, Canada, France, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. To help it grow, it said it will consider entering into partnership with other companies or brands that it believes can help it add value.
The Ternua group took on its current form in 2014 when IASA, the company that also ran sports brand Astore, acquired technical sock brand Lorpen and brought everything under the Ternua brand.
At the head of the company, Aitor Barinaga will be chief operations officer and will lead up international development. One of the founders, Eduardo Uribesalgo, will step down from his role as head of product and head up the group’s innovation team. Sergi Ferre will take over the head of product role.
In addition, Ternua has appointed Andre´-Pierre Bonamy to head up its business in France and the Benelux markets, while Heiner Ibing will carry out the same role in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
