Lenzing reports increase in revenues

Results for cellulosic fibre manufacturer Lenzing Group improved significantly in 2015, the company said on releasing its annual sales figures.

Revenue rose by 6% to just under €2 billion. Lenzing said higher prices for fibres and favourable exchange rates were part of the reason. Earnings before tax were up by 20%, reaching €290 million.

“We made substantial progress in 2015 and delivered the promised improvements to our business
operations,”  said chief executive, Stefan Doboczky, on announcing the results.
