Trade groups announce date for ‘Imports Work’ week 2016

The fifth annual Imports Work week, organised by leading trade organisations to educate consumers on the important role that imports play in the US economy, will take place between May 9 and 13 2016.

The 2016 edition of the event is particularly important amidst ongoing debate over the recently concluded Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and various associations and think tanks will take part.

The Coordinating Committee for Imports Work week includes the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA), the American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI), the Footwear Distributor and Retailers of America (FDRA) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Apparel Coalition.
