Inditex reinforces its trade union policies

25/04/2016
Apparel group Inditex and trade union organisation IndustriALL have expanded an existing agreement to strengthen industrial relations within the retail group’s supply chain. Inditex is the parent group of Zara and a number of other fashion retail chains.

The new agreement means there will be trade union experts at each of Inditex’s supplier clusters. There are 11 of these clusters, in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Turkey, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, India, Argentina, Brazil and China.

Inditex chairman, Pablo Isla, and the general secretary of IndustriALL, Jyrki Raina, signed the new agreement in Brussels at a conference on responsible management in the garment sector supply chain, organised by the European Commission.
