European companies to invest in Indonesia

German companies have agreed to investment worth $875 million, a portion of which will be devoted to industry, manufacturing and agribusiness. There will also be German investment in energy and telecommunications. UK companies have pledged $19 billion and Dutch businesses $606 million.
These agreements are primarily in consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and paper manufacturing.
President Widodo made a visit to Europe from 17 to 21 April, visiting all three countries as well as international organisations within the region. During his visit, he met several EU officials including President of the European Parliamant Martin Schulz, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, and President of the European Commission Jean Claude Juncker.
