20/04/2016
The new facility on the island of Java will provide physical testing for a full range of apparel and textiles products and compliments the laboratory which SGS already operates in Jakarta.
The new laboratory is ideally placed for Semarang, Solo and Yogyakarta, key areas for the Indonesian textile industry, and Surabaya, the country’s centre of footwear and leather industry.
In 2015, exports of textiles and ready-made garments from Indonesia reached $9.27 billion with the US, Europe and Japan among the most important markets.
