SGS expands Mexican testing lab

18/09/2017
Testing and certification body SGS has held the official opening for its expanded textile testing facility in Naucalpan, Mexico.

The company said it now represents “a major testing hub” for textiles and apparel in Central and South America.

The facility already offered ‘use and abuse’ and flammability tests, but it can now also perform a wide range of physical and chemical tests on fabrics and apparel that satisfy both US and Mexican standards.

SGS relocated its textile testing lab from Mexico City to Naucalpan in June 2016. The area is a sourcing and manufacturing hub for Mexico’s textile industry.
