SGS relocates textile testing lab

Testing and certification body SGS has moved its textile testing laboratory from Mexico City to the nearby Industrial Park Naucalpan in Estado de Mexico (State of Mexico). The area is a sourcing and manufacturing hub for Mexico’s textile industry.

The new laboratory will allow SGS to offer a broad range of testing services and increase its range of testing, inspection and audit solutions throughout the textile supply chain. Among the testing capabilities of the facility will be colourfastness, shrinkage and flammability. Product categories will include apparel, handbags, luggage and home textiles.
