OutDoor 2016 to focus on CSR

27/06/2016
The 2016 edition of the OutDoor show, which will take place from July 13 to 16, will have Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) high up on its agenda, according to organiser Messe Friedrichshafen. Presentations and conferences will take place to discuss the issue and many of the companies in attendance have already made strong efforts to improve their CSR.

“Sustainability is essential for our success in the future,” said John Jansen, president of the European Outdoor Group on outdoor activities and the environment.

“Overseeing the whole supply chain and ensuring transparency – from raw materials to finished product – is one of our biggest and most important challenges,” said Christiane Dolva, CSR Manager at outdoor brand Fjällräven., who will be present at the show.

OutDoor 2016 will also see the official launch of the new Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), which was released earlier this month by Textile Exchange.
