Sporting goods manufacturing and retailing group Decathlon is aiming for aggressive expansion in Malaysia with the opening of up to 60 new stores over the next decade. The French company already has stores in over 30 countries.

Decathlon Malaysia CEO Tom Meng said the expansion was in line with the company’s broader global strategy to triple its stores to 3,000 in the next ten years. He added that 10 new stores will be opened in Malaysia within three years, adding to the one that was recently launched in the capital Kuala Lumpur.
