Sports-based styles on show at Mode City in Lyon
Mode City Interfiliere, which took place in the French city of Lyon from July 9 to 11, saw the attendance of 370 brands and approximately 11,000 buyers. Eurovet, organisers of the event, chose to move the 2016 edition to Lyon from Paris to avoid a clash with the final of the European Championship.

Intimate apparel and beachwear brands from France and overseas showed their spring/summer 2017 collections to a large international attendance.

Many brands showed styles that had sport as a key theme with a stronger presence than ever before of “active” ranges. The new “zone sportive”, dedicated 100% to sport (and women in particular), proved very popular. It gave sports companies the opportunity to see a variety of feminine sports-based ranges for intimate apparel and beachwear. Eurovet plans to include the area again in 2017.

After France, the highest number of visitors were from Italy, Germany and Spain. There were also many buyers from further afield such as the US and Asian representation in the form of Hong Kong, China and Japan (which, alongside Switzerland, made the top ten of visitors for the first time).
