Revenues down at Wolverine World Wide

Outdoor footwear group Wolverine World Wide achieved revenues of just over $1.1 billion in the first half of 2016. This figure represents a decline of 7.9% compared to the same period last year. Net earnings on this total were down by more than 35% to $41.7 million.

Chief executive, Blake Krueger, said on announcing the results: “We continued to drive progress against our key strategic initiatives, which are designed to accelerate growth and improve earnings performance through a relentless focus on the consumer, product innovation, and compelling storytelling.”

Wolverine World Wide footwear brands include Saucony, Chaco, Sperry, Wolverine, Sebago and Merrell.
