Kraig says new spider silk factory will be in production in August

Developer of spider silk-based fibres Kraig Biocraft Laboratories has signed the lease for and begun interior construction of a new production facility in Indiana. The company has said it expects the new facility to be ready for operations by August 10.

Kraig expects the new Indiana facility to enable it to increase production capacity by nearly twenty times. Commenting on the development, chief operating officer, Jon Rice, said: “This growth of our production capacity will allow us to expand our relationships with both industry and governmental collaborators.”
