FENC unveils latest innovation from smart textiles platform

Textile manufacturer Far Eastern New Century (FENC) has introduced DynaFeed, the latest offering from its Far Eastern R&D Manmade Intelligence (FERMI) smart textiles platform, at the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (October 17-19).

DynaFeed is a garment biosensor technology which uses ultra-thin conductive non-metallic polymer film to measure vital body functions including heart rate as well as monitoring movement and motion.
It enables a more efficient interface between the body’s physiology and digital devices, allowing athletes to access real-time data related to their training and performance.

FENC says this innovation makes conventional heavy-metal based systems “unnecessary” as it poses no restrictions on body movement.
