Giordana returns to cycling World Tour with Astana kit deal

Cycling apparel brand Giordana is to be the new supplier to the Astana professional cycling team, marking a return to the UCI World Tour for the brand. Astana cyclists will wear Giordana technical apparel for all racing and training activities from January 2017.

Giordana enjoyed success with professional teams in the past, dating back to the 1980s; it is a former supplier to Le Tour De France.
 
Company founder, Giorgio Andretta, said on announcing the Astana development: “We are thrilled to be involved. We have developed an entirely new line of garments to help the athletes perform at their best. Our new FormaRed-Carbon Pro line will make up the core of the kits we supply to the team.”

He said FormaRed-Carbon Pro will “set the bar high” with regard to innovation and performance in all riding conditions throughout the year.

He said Giordana will continue to evolve its clothing range with the feedback from Astana cyclists.
