Sports equipment brand POC names new chief executive

Media executive Jonas Sjögren is to become the chief executive of Swedish ski and cycling helmet and apparel brand POC. He will take up his new role on February 1.

Most of Mr Sjögren’s career has been in television but he did take up a board position at odour control technology provider Polygiene earlier this year.

Bahrain-based investment group Investcorp acquired POC from Black Diamond in October 2015, saying at the time that it was “one of the fastest growing, most dynamic and most innovative companies in the sports equipment sector”.
