Group aims to drive innovation in textile finishing

Italian private equity fund management company Wise SGR, has announced the creation of a new global holding company dedicated to innovation in the textile printing and finishing sector.

The first action of the new group, which will be known as Imprima, was to acquire German finishing and textile printing company KBC and Italian textile printing specialist Guarisco. Both companies will exhibit at the forthcoming Première Vision event in Paris (February 7-9).

Imprima believes that these acquisitions will allow it to establish itself as “a preferred partner for brands and retailers in the world of fashion” due to the companies’ heritage and experience in the textile industry. It will also be able to call on their international network of contacts.

"We started with two milestones in the industry: KBC, a company with more than two and a half centuries of history that is characterised by a refined and distinctive design and creative heritage and positioning; and Guarisco, an Italian family company, dynamic, young and known for design that rapidly transposes the fashion factor to bring it to the world of fast fashion", explained Paolo Gramaglia, co-CEO of Imprima.

The holding company plans to make further acquisitions in Italy and abroad in the near future, with a total of €30 million set aside for these investments.
