Aquafil delight at international award for Econyl

Italian yarn company Aquafil, which has converted hundreds of tonnes of discarded fishing nets into its Econyl nylon product since launch four years ago, has now won an international award for the project.

Towards the end of February, the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design awarded Aquafil a 2017 Green Good Design award for Econyl.

Franco Rossi, president of Aquafil USA, commented: “We were thrilled our company was recognised by Green Good Design as a leader in sustainable manufacturing.”
