Econyl yarn features in H&M collection
Now into its seventh generation, Conscious Exclusive is a seasonal collection that aims to draw attention to sustainable fashion and innovation.
Aquafil created Econyl using the material from recovered ocean waste, including discarded fishing nets. It has converted hundreds of tonnes of material into this yarn.
H&M has woven Econyl into a delicate sheer fabric, which features in a white lace wedding dress and a dark grey-blue lace long-sleeved mini-dress.
Among the other materials used in the latest Conscious Exclusive collection are Lenzing’s Tencel fibre and recycled silver, which features in several items of jewellery.
The full collection will be available online and in H&M stores worldwide from April 2018.
