21/03/2017
Think-tank Ethisphere Institute has released its 2017 list of the World’s Most Ethical Companies (WMEC), which features 124 honourees from 19 countries.

The companies are assessed in five key categories: ethics and compliance programme, corporate citizenship and responsibility, culture of ethics, governance, and leadership, innovation and reputation.

Three apparel companies are on the 2017 list – VF Corp, H&M and Levi Strauss & Co. H&M said it was “an honour” to be recognised for the seventh time, while VF said it tries to “embed responsible practices and behaviours into everything we do”.

Two textile chemical manufacturers were also recognised – Eastman and Milliken and Company. The latter has been on the Ethisphere Institute’s list of WMEC every year since it was launched in 2011.
