Communities benefit from VF's volunteering scheme

In March last year, Timberland project My Playgreen funded 14 projects across London.
In May, it was launched in Milan, and will provide grants of up to €5,000 for grassroots projects which that access to green spaces for children. To kick off the Milan edition, 120 Timberland employees volunteered at three urban greening projects.
In April, VF employees in Pederobba, Italy, helped restore a centre for Italian League for Bird Protection while others cleaned up a park.
In mid-July, VF held three Community Days in Ticino, Switzerland, during which hundreds of employees supported local causes and charities.
Anna Maria Rugarli, senior director of sustainability and corporate social responsibility for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: "Our VF Community Days are part of a series of voluntary initiatives that our group organises all over the world to support the communities where we work."
