Children’s clothing that grows as they do

London-based Ryan Mario Yasin bought his newborn nephew an outfit but found he had outgrown it before he had chance to give it to him.
He designed the Petit Pli range to combat this, and he sees it as a solution to waste.
He said: “The reason Petit Pli exists is to reduce the amount of unnecessary waste from the fashion industry. If that’s not enough to convince you, we’ve created outerwear that is lightweight so you can put it in your pocket, its rain and windproof to protect children from the elements and continually adjusts its size so it will never be bulky or restrictive.”
The clothes, which are available to pre-order but are not yet ready to ship, are made from a pleated rain and windproof outer shell, which can be stretched as the child grows. They have been “rigorously tested” and are designed to be washable at 30 degrees.
