Ethisphere Institute celebrates ethical companies

Think-tank Ethisphere Institute has announced its 2019 list of the World’s Most Ethical Companies (WMEC). This year’s list features 128 companies from 21 countries and 50 industries. 

The companies are assessed in five key categories that cover the quality of their ethics and compliance programme, organisational culture, corporate citizenship and responsibility, governance, and leadership and reputation.

The apparel industry is represented on the list by Swedish group H&M and the US-based VF Corporation. Textile chemical manufacturers Eastman and Milliken also made the list, as did synthetic insulation manufacturer 3M.
