Boardriders shuffles international team

Surf and snow sports company Boardriders Inc., formerly known as Quiksilver, has named Nate Smith as the new president of its Americas business. 

He replaces Greg Healy, the company’s global brand president, who will return to his native Australia to take over as head of the APAC region.

Mr Smith joins Boardriders from Oakley, where he was most recently general manager for US wholesale. He has also spent time as vice president of Patagonia’s international business. 

Quiksilver changed its name to Boardriders in March 2017 after exiting bankruptcy. The company said the move was intended to represent its full range of action sports brands. The Quiksilver brand continues, alongside the company’s Roxy and DC Shoes brands.
