Hyperlite moves into outerwear with jacket

According to Hyperlight, the jacket weighs between 5.16 and 6.20 ounces (146g to 176g), depending on size. The company says this is considerably lighter than other options currently on the market.
“Our goal was to design a jacket that was so light and functional that there was no reason not to bring it on every trip,” explained Mike St. Pierre, founder and CEO of Hyperlite.
Hyperlite uses ultra-strong fabrics from Netherlands-based textile maker DSM Dyneema in many of its products. The two companies worked closely together on The Shell, testing and refining Dyneema’s Composite Fabrics to find the optimal balance between weight and durability.
The jacket also features a waterproof and breathable membrane from eVent.
